Check in to Your Gulf-Front Suite
While a full gourmet kitchen, dining area, and deluxe bathroom with step-in shower and separate Roman-style tub are certainly fabulous features in their own right, perhaps the most distinct one in your one-bedroom GulfFront Suite is the furnished private balcony. Offering a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beach below, it’s the place to sink into an Adirondack chair in one of our plush bathrobes while savoring a glass of wine from the complimentary bottle that came with your room.
Enjoy Award-Winning Cuisine
As tempting as it may be to stay on your balcony and watch the sun set, you have a dinner reservation at Caretta on the Gulf – the only AAA Four Diamond restaurant on Clearwater Beach. The restaurant features an inviting yet unpretentious atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dine by candlelight on our famous jumbo lump crab cake before savoring freshly caught Gulf grouper over English pea risotto. Or, feast on ceviche, sushi, and fresh shellfish from our raw bar.
Rehearsal & Welcome Reception
Once your wedding party has arrived and checked in, you’ll run through a ceremony rehearsal before segueing into a welcome reception on the beach. Set directly on the sand, the casual Floribbean buffet comes accented by the tropical sounds of a steel drummer and is topped off with key lime cheesecake and a friendly game of beach volleyball. As the sun sets, you and your partner will be invited to ring the “sunset bell” to alert everyone that nature’s awe-inspiring show is about to begin. Cap it all off with a seat around the beach-based fire pit, a spacious communal area that is a perfect place to raise a glass with a drink from Tate Island Grill, and toast a marshmallow from our provided s’mores kits.
Coffee & a Stroll
After a leisurely breakfast on your private balcony, stroll hand in hand along the beach, which boasts meticulously maintained, super-fine, sugar-white sand (it’s actually raked every morning). You’ll then meet your wedding party at the 12,000-square-foot, seven treatment-room spa for an afternoon of pampering before reconvening in your suite, where your hair stylist and makeup artist will put the finishing touches on your wedding day look.
First Look, Ceremony & Cocktail Hour
Meet your partner by the outside grand staircase that overlooks a trickling fountain for your first look photos before making your way to the Gulf Lawn to say “I do” against the backdrop of the beach and rolling sand dunes. After, your ceremony flows seamlessly into a lively cocktail hour across the same sprawling green lawn, where champagne glasses are raised, exquisite hors d’oeuvres are passed, and guests mingle beside an elaborate sushi display created by our expert in-house sushi chefs.
Dinner & Dancing
The Hunter Ballroom – our signature grand ballroom, with 15-foot coffered ceilings, wainscoting, and elegant chandelier lighting – makes for a stunning grand entrance to your reception. Whether you opt for a casual buffet, chef-attended action stations, or a formal plated meal, our tantalizing menu options please even the most discerning palate with a focus on artfully presented, fresh, seasonal ingredients. As the lights dim and your guests take to the dance floor, there’s nothing left to do but relax, celebrate, and enjoy the company of loved ones as the sound of laughter is carried away on the warm Gulf breeze.
A Stylish Send-Off
Centered between a waterfall feature and the resort’s lagoon-style pool, the Pool Lawn makes for a memorable site to host a farewell brunch beneath the swaying palm trees. The buffet includes breakfast favorites such as applewood-smoked bacon and cheddar potato casserole alongside carved-to-order New York strip steak and smoked salmon with traditional accompaniments. Add a Bellini bar featuring Prosecco and assorted juices, garnished with seasonal berries, sorbet, and fruit popsicles for a taste of the tropics.

For the more adventurous couple, our concierge can arrange a private dolphin encounter or kayak excursion through our local estuary ecosystem. Or, simply kick back, reserve a luxury cabana alongside our zero-entry, lagoon-style pool and treat yourselves to the food and beverage service from Tate Island Grill as you relive the highlights of your celebration.

A Venue for Every Taste
Our venues offer postcard-perfect options for every couple and every interest. Exchange your vows on our white-sand beach at sunset, or say ‘I Do’ on our lush Pool Lawn with its cascading waterfall and spectacular beach views. We also invite you to enjoy your first dance under the Hunter Ballroom’s 15-foot coffered ceilings, or cut your wedding cake in front of the Harbor Ballroom’s expansive windows that look out over the resort and Pier 60. For more intimate receptions, the Cove Ballroom boasts a wall of windows that frame beautiful views of the Gulf, while Caretta’s private dining room is ideal for wedding dinners with up to 35 friends and family members.

Bride Top Questions
You are required to have a planner for your wedding. There are various levels of planning and you can discuss with your planner which is right for you. Your coordinator will be responsible for setting up your personal décor, keeping the day of the wedding running according to your timeline as well as being the liaison with all outside wedding vendors. Your Catering Sales Manager is the operational liaison with the resort, coordinating all of menu planning, tastings, floor plans, set up details of function space and banquet staff.
If you choose to hold your ceremony at the Sandpearl, we do require a $1,800 ceremony fee. This fee includes a rehearsal the day before your wedding, preparation of the wedding location, white garden chairs, citrus water station, security and indoor back up space in the event of inclement weather.
Yes we can. Please let your Catering Sales Manager know of any guests that might need special meal accommodations no later than 7 days prior to your wedding.
All food and beverage for your wedding must come from the Resort. However, we do not provide the wedding cake, so you are welcome to select the bakery of your choosing to provide the wedding cake or other desserts.
At the Sandpearl Resort, we now offer a special promotional code that you and your guest may use when booking rooms through our website. This code allows you to book any of our room types on their own. The rate does fluctuate based on hotel occupancy and availability which means that the discount percentage may change and the minimum length of stay may change as we approach your wedding weekend.
We do have our Preferred Vendor List for those who need some assistance getting started. These vendors have worked at the Resort many times and are familiar with all of our rules and regulations as it pertains to weddings. If you have a vendor that is not on our list, they must be approved by you Catering Sales Manager as well as have the necessary insurance required by the Resort.
The Resort provides white garden chairs for outside weddings and banquet chairs for indoors, round white linens, white china, glassware, and resort style centerpieces for reception and/or dinner, glass votive candles, stage and indoor dance floor.
For all weddings of 60+ guest will have a complimentary tasting with our Culinary Team for four guests. Any additional guest will be $100 per person additional. This charge will be added to your final invoice for your wedding.
Yes we have many locations located on the Resort property where you can do either of those events. As well as post wedding brunches which provides a nice send off to your guest after a wonderful weekend.
